These terms are between you and 10ten Studio Inc. (“we”), which runs Campable. Contact: hello@10tenstudio.com. By using the app you agree to them.

Campable is guidance, not permission

Campable combines public data (land designations, closures, fire and road information, weather and more) to give a best-effort answer about whether you can camp somewhere. Data can be incomplete, late or wrong, and rules change without notice. “Good to camp” is not a guarantee, a permit or legal advice. You are responsible for checking with the land manager (BC Parks, BC Recreation Sites and Trails, First Nations, private owners, local authorities) and for following the law, fire bans and closures.

Safety

Backcountry travel carries real risk: wildfire, flooding, avalanche, wildlife, weather and poor roads. Campable is not a safety service and must not be relied on in an emergency. Carry proper maps and communications, tell someone your plans, and use your own judgment. Avalanche and similar information is shown as context only.

Camper check-ins and groups

Check-ins are optional and come from other users, so we cannot verify them. Send only honest, first-hand information. We may remove content, limit use or block a device that abuses the service. Anyone with a group code can see that trip, so share codes only with people you trust.

Campable Pro

Pro is a paid subscription billed through Google Play, with the price and any free trial shown before you buy. It renews automatically until you cancel in Google Play, and you can cancel any time before the next renewal. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policies. Features may change over time.

Using the app

Use Campable for personal, lawful purposes. Do not scrape, overload or interfere with the service, try to identify other users, or send false check-ins. Map and data credits are shown in the app and remain with their owners; much of the government data is used under open licences such as the Open Government Licence – British Columbia.

No warranty and limits of liability

The app and its data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, fines, injuries, trip costs or lost opportunities arising from your use of Campable, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Changes, ending and law

We may update the app or these terms, and will change the date above when we do; continued use means you accept the update. You may stop using Campable at any time, and we may suspend access for misuse. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes go to the courts of British Columbia.
